Taverna Loukoulos
A traditional Greek tavern on the seafront of Alexandroupoli (Apolloniados 12), with a view of the Thracian Sea. Open since 1999 and considered one of the most reliable and popular places in the city for quality and flavour. Offers a rich menu of traditional and modern Greek dishes: meats (kontosouvli, pork knuckle, grilled meats), seafood, salads, appetizers and homemade recipes. Highlights include hünkar beğendi, seafood risotto, kritharoto and juicy spit-roasted meats on weekends. Has outdoor seating with sea view and friendly service. Tip: For a table, especially on weekends and holidays, make a reservation at least one week in advance.
