Privacy Policy

ALX.GR is a local guide under active development. This page explains, in plain terms, what data we currently collect.

Business and idea submission forms: when you submit a business or an idea, we store the details you fill in the form (e.g. name, category, description, address, phone, website, email, or the idea's title/description and author name), so that we can review them before publishing.

Photos: the photos shown on ALX.GR come either from the ALX.GR team itself, from visitors and friends of the site who send them to us voluntarily via the photo submission form, or from Instagram users who tag us (@alx.gr.guide) or use #ALXGR. When you submit a photo via the form, you can optionally provide your name and email; we also keep the submission date. If you provide a name, it is displayed publicly as a credit below the photo (e.g. "Photo: First Last", along with the date); if you don't, it is shown as "Anonymous". The email is not published - we keep it only to contact you about the submission. For photos from Instagram, we display credit to the account that posted them. If you believe a photo shouldn't be here (e.g. it shows you or a minor member of your family, or it's yours and you don't want it shown), you can request its immediate removal via the "Found something wrong? Tell us" button on any listing page (choosing "Remove photo"), or with a DM on Instagram - no account needed.

User accounts: the login/signup feature is still under development; full user accounts are not yet being created.
