White Night of Alexandroupoli

Every summer, the Alexandroupoli Chamber of Commerce organises "White Night": the city centre is pedestrianised, shops stay open until midnight with discounts, and stages with live music and activities for all ages are set up. It is considered one of the biggest festivals in Thrace. It's more than a commercial initiative - it's a major celebration for the city that boosts the local market, hospitality and tourism, drawing visitors from across Evros, Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, and even neighbouring countries.

Wine Festival

The "Alexandroupoli Wine Festival" is organised every summer by the Municipality of Alexandroupoli (through its Municipal Tourism Enterprise) together with the Union of Cultural Associations of Evros. Revived in 2013 after roughly 25 years, it usually takes place in late July, with evening events starting around 20:30-21:00 and an opening procession from the Lighthouse to the Traffic Education Park. It features traditional dances by local Thracian, Pontic and Sarakatsani cultural clubs, wine and local food stalls, and concerts by well-known artists.
